
The Snail Mail band is currently on their first headlining tour ever, which kicked off last night in Athens, Georgia and concludes July 29th in Cleveland, Ohio. Pitchfork has loudly praised everything and anything she releases, and as her music gets pushed out beyond the underground, Snail Mail is effortlessly growing her following along the way. The new one is more self-assured, direct, honest, and specific.” Habit was really confused, scared, insecure, and dramatic. In a recent interview with the Austin Chronicle, she explains “I’ve gotten to know myself and sort of had to be a fake adult doing all this stuff. She returned to SXSW this year with a handful of brand new songs that shows off a Lindsey who has flourished through the growing-pains of the music industry in just a short year. SXSW 2017 saw labels, managers and fans alike drooling over Snail Mail’s performances, all while she was finishing up her senior year of high school. This year, she'll be taking on the role of headlining act. Extensively touring as support for other inspiring slowcore and alt-rock bands (such as Waxahatchee and Girlpool,) people have been gradually getting a whiff of the harmonic power this petite shredder has on a crowd. After releasing a poetic and emotionally driven EP titled Habit, critics and music lovers alike have kept tabs on her. She's been at the music thing since she was five, but her band Snail Mail hit the scene in 2015.
